Are you ready to help power the global quality of life? Join Enverus, and be a part of creating a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
We are currently seeking a Software Data Engineer to join our Power & Energy Transition team. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.
The Pearl Street Technologies team's mission is to accelerate the transition to a reliable, decarbonized grid. Pearl Street Technologies was recently acquired into the Power & Energy Transition team at Enverus. We deliver software solutions to electric grid operators, utilities, and renewable energy project developers to tackle the "interconnection bottleneck," the process by which large-scale solar, wind, and battery projects connect to the power grid. To date, nearly 300 billion watts’ worth of renewable energy projects have been modeled in our software to expedite their interconnection to the grid – equivalent to nearly 700 million solar panels, 30 billion LEDs, or 390 million horses! If you are interested in solving the most pressing challenges of the world’s most critical infrastructure, we’d love to hear from you!

Performance Objectives

We are looking for a software data engineer who is comfortable taking ownership of complex projects while collaborating with existing members of the team. We’re continuously improving our Interconnect© and SUGAR™ application to make it faster, easier, and cheaper for renewable energy projects to be deployed on the grid. You will play a leading role in collecting and analyzing user-facing data, including:

  • Architecting and deploying data pipelines for scraping and aggregation of public datasets
  • Processing and analyzing data to develop insights around renewable energy interconnection
  • Develop, maintain and support internal data microservices infrastructure and code
  • Developing intuitive dashboards and visualizations in modern frontend web technologies

Your work will help project developers deploy more (and better) zero-carbon generation projects on the grid!

Competitive Candidate Profile
  • Strong Python coding experience and experience with Java (including Spring framework) for data pipelines and a demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new coding techniques. Familiarity with streaming and concurrent data pipelines is helpful.
